Following the first-prize awards at the 19th Ile de France, Lagny-sur Marne, Hans von Bülow, and Carl Filtsch International Piano Competitions, Balázs Demény’s performing career gained remarkable momentum. His piano concerto repertoire — spanning works from Bach to contemporaries— is a fundamental pillar of his artistic identity. As a soloist, he has led over 70 performances with various orchestras in some of Europe’s and Japan’s most prestigious concert halls. Currently he holds the distinguished position of resident soloist with the Dinu Lipatti State Philharmonic.
